Tagged!

I was recently tagged by Melis and Michelle (thanks ladies!!) and instead of answering both sets, and boring you with too many facts about me I figured one would be ok...

What is your current obsession?
Listening to The Airborne Toxic Event ALL day long (non-stop)

What is your weirdest obsession?
As soon as I get home, I have to change into a set of clothes that I refer to as "house clothes".

What are you wearing today?
At this second, I'm wearing a super soft racer back grey tank with black yoga pants and my super super goofy slippers (see pic above). I know that they're the ugliest thing in the world but they're so warm and comfy and Hillsy gave them to me so there!

What's for dinner?
My "in-laws" are visiting from the UK this week (and next). I'll be cooking Chicken Marbella tonight, a recipe that P introduced to me. So good! It's a bit of a gamble because they're very weary of mixing sweet and savory, but I'm convinced that this dish will change their minds!!

What would you eat for your last meal?
Sinigang (filipino dish), croissant, Cheetos, Bistecca Fiorentina, Chocolate cake, Fish & Chips from Parrots in Peterborough, UK, pandesal from my sister's fave bakery in California, Lechon, sweet tea ... (someone would have to carry me out in a stretcher after this meal)

What's the last thing you bought?
Shoes for Hillsy, he came home the other night with a broken zipper and his only other pair is missing a sole, ya, I thought it was time.

What are you listening to right now?
see answer #1

What is your favorite ice-cream flavour?
Chocolate cookie dough

What do you think of the person who tagged you?
Melis and I have been friends for a year now, she's sweet as cotton candy and a little nutty (we laugh a lot when we're together) like a Turtle Praline, just the way I like my friends! Michelle never fails to inspire me with new things to buy, she's constantly tweeting great finds - especially on Fridays! Can't wait to meet you!

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?
This is a tough one... probably a brownstone in New York City, in the West Village. I was going to say somewhere else, but thought I'd probably get more use out of it if it was in the city. Oh you're so boring and practical Marichelle!

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
Back to the Chianti region of Tuscany, where life is 100x slower.

Which language do you want to learn?
French. I just love the sound of it.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher.

What is your dream job?
Being a mom! Oh you mean that kind of a job? Owning a cute little gift/vintage shop that's also a bakery, craft workshop AND you can get a spa pedicure without smelling like acetone and chemicals! Who's in?

What is your favorite curse word?
Fuck and fuckin' usually do the trick.

If you had $100 now, what would you spend it on?
Dinner with Hillsy.

Favorite designer?
I don't own a stitch of his clothing, but if I could afford it and actually had places to "be", I'd be in Marc Jacobs head to toe.

Do you admire any one's style?
Kate Moss. I've loved her since highschool. I had a wall covered with magazine clippings of her.

Describe your personal style?
casual{ly} confused?

What are you going to do after this?
Run.

What are your favourite movies?
I don't have a favorite movie but I do love watching... Don't laugh... The Notebook (I bawl my eyes out every time), Pretty Woman (I'm a sucker for chick flicks). Don't judge.

What's your favourite fruit?
Mango

What inspires you?
Magazines, my favorite bloggers, friends, awesome moms...

What is on the walls in your bedroom?
one of my garlands, a piece I bought from Jess of Miniature Rhino, a print from Lush Bella

Your favorite book ?
Wish I could give you an impressive list of book titles but sadly and unfortunately I never really read that much as a kid (or as an adult) - nothing I'm particularly proud of, but it is what it is. I usually end up reading things that my girlfriends swear by. So far nothing tops Memoirs of a Geisha. Last book(s) I read were from the Twilight series and I absolutely LOVED them all (probably the first and last were my faves).

Do you collect something?
Handmade goodies of course! I also have a habit of buying really high-heel shoes that I don't really get to wear that often since I tend to dress for comfort. I just love the thought of them I guess. In my imaginary world, I would be wearing 5" heels all the time.

What is one of your pet peeves?
I hate crusty dry crackly feet. Yuck.

Tagging...
I'd like to tag all of my regular contributors: Cassie, RJ, Sam, Adele and Kelly.

The rules :
1. Respond and rework; answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your invention, add one more question of your own.
2. Tag eight whoever you want to.

hahaha! You are cracking me up!
My husband wore Vans with a huge hole
in the side on our honeymoon in
London. I told him not to take those shoes. It rained the whole time.
:)
Why do they let it get so out of control? Throw them away!!!

Thank you for all of your nice comments!

Caroline, the dinner was a hit!! Yasmine, that and Kare Kare are my faves! Laurel, oh thank goodness - I thought I was alone on this one :)
Jen, wow didn't know that! I used to joke around with Melis (first comment) that her husband (also filipino) and I were probably distant cousins. You know how everyone seems to be related?? Kate, I hear ya! They tend to wear the same shoe over and over again until its last breath. Quite impressive really! Hi Cindy! Thank you so much, hope you stay dry (how awful is this weather??) Sam, can't wait to read all about you!!
