Shop + Tell: Jacqui

Who:
The lovely and VERY talented Jacqui Hanson, creator/designer of the cutest handmade cards - Yumstie Tree.
Scores... This weekend I bought an apple shaped, vintage fabric pincushion from craft 2.0 fair in Christchurch. It is too cute for words and was made by Bethany over at Papillion. She makes the most adorable fabric animals as well as amazing jewellery. She pays so much attention to detail….and even put a little bell inside so it sounds good too. Take a look at more of Bethany’s work.
How often do you indie-shop?
More and more every week. I have some fantastic shops on my door step that sell amazing things made by local artists and crafters and every time I pop in I see something that I love. My recent purchases have included a sew on crotched flower an organic cotton tote bag and of course my new pincushion.
How does it make you feel?
Smiley… because it has a bell inside. Relaxed, because I know where all my pins are…..and I’m less likely to get one in my foot. Happy that more people are taking the time to craft. Jealous that whenever I try to make pincushions they never look this good…..but eager to have a go!

What made you buy it? Because it looked so cute snuggled up between a fabric elephant and a fabric bunny… and because I needed one too!
