Confessions of a Soapaholic

One of my biggest pet-peeves: dry hands and hosiery-damaging cuticles. How many times have I had to change my stockings because of that? Plenty, to talk about it here...

I try hard to keep my hands + nails presentable... but when dealing with paint, clays, cleaning supplies... it's not very easy. I have tried many many hand salves with not much success. It either does not do the job, or something about it keeps me from using it daily.

For example: packaging. There was one hand salve that I actually liked, but the packaging did not adjust to it's life in my roller coaster of a hand bag. Squeezing it was like watching a fast forward video of a chia pet!

Finally, for my hand's + hosiery's sake I came across Sugarwood Naturals Farmers Hand Salve.

It is quite thick but it rapidly melts in your hands, releasing a very pleasant aroma of eucalyptus. Immediately, my dry cuticles turn soft and the dryness of my hands: old news. Most importantly, your hands will not feel greasy like most thick salves. It dries off pretty quickly leaving your hands soft and subtly scented.

The salve comes packed in a sturdy metal tin - you won't be finding a chia pet growing in your bag.

My "farmer hands" are happy.

Ha! I'll have to check that out too. My hands are so dry from felting that fabric seems to cling to them, even when I'm not holding on. I'm like a burr. Thanks for the suggestion!
